What does Armiflow’s Apple Pay integration do?

Apple Pay is Apple’s payment method, used to pay on an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch. With the Apple Pay integration, Armiflow offers Apple Pay as a payment option for invoices in the Invoicing & dunning feature, via a payment provider such as Stripe or Klarna. Whether Apple Pay appears depends on what is enabled in your account with the provider.

Benefits

What the Apple Pay integration does for your invoices

Every invoice from Armiflow is checked against § 11 of the Austrian VAT Act (UStG, RIS), which matters for businesses in Austria and Germany. With Apple Pay, your customer then confirms the payment on their own device, without typing in card details or account numbers.

Anyone with an iPhone has often already set up Apple Pay and uses it every day. You carry this habit over to your invoices: the customer opens the invoice, chooses Apple Pay and confirms. The hurdle is small, and many invoices are settled before they slip down the inbox. Your team writes fewer reminders.

There is always a payment provider behind Apple Pay. Armiflow does not accept money; it links the invoice to your account with a provider such as Stripe or Klarna. There you enable payment methods and manage fees and payouts. In Armiflow you see which invoices are paid and which are still open.

Often, yes, for managing directors, freelancers and small companies that approve invoices on their iPhone. Larger business customers with their own accounts department and payment approval usually pay by bank transfer instead. The Apple Pay integration is therefore a convenient addition for quick payments, while classic bank transfer remains available.

No, a payment provider is always needed. The Apple Pay integration runs through a provider such as Stripe or Klarna, because Armiflow does not process payments itself. Which providers support Apple Pay for your account and what the connection looks like in detail is shown in the app.

Yes. Armiflow checks the invoice against § 11 of the Austrian VAT Act (UStG) before your customer pays it, with gap-free numbering, correct tax rates and cancellation instead of editing. Small business rules and reverse charge are taken into account. The Apple Pay integration only affects the payment method, not the content of the invoice.

Which payment options a customer sees depends on the payment methods with your provider and often on the customer’s device. On an Apple device with Apple Pay set up, it usually appears alongside other options such as card. The app shows what the selection looks like in your case when you test it.

Yes. Dunning with first and second reminders and fees works independently of the payment method. Apple Pay payments run through your payment provider. For Stripe, Armiflow’s bookkeeping reads the Stripe statements from PDFs; for other providers, the app shows what is included.
