Integration · Page reader
With the Firecrawl integration, Armiflow uses Firecrawl as a page reader. The service reads web pages and delivers their actual content as clean text, so that AI steps are based on what a page really says.

Firecrawl is a service that reads web pages and delivers their content as clean, machine-readable text, for example in Markdown format. Armiflow connects Firecrawl as a page reader in the Web search & page reader area. This allows Armiflow to work with the actual content of a page rather than with assumptions. The app shows in which features this happens.
Benefits
A web page consists of much more than text: menus, scripts, ads, cookie notices. Firecrawl filters this out and delivers the actual content. Armiflow uses the service as a page reader.
Why a page reader? A search finds pages but does not yet tell you what is on them. Only once the content has been read can an AI recognise, for example, which services a company offers or how it describes itself. That matches Armiflow’s principle: the AI should write from facts, not guess, and every client email needs your approval.
Reading pages means processing content from third-party websites, which can also contain personal data, such as names in the legal notice. The GDPR (EUR-Lex) applies to this. Only read pages you really need for your purpose, and observe the terms of use of the respective website and of Firecrawl.

A page reader reads a web page and delivers its actual content as text, without menus, scripts and ads. The Firecrawl integration turns Firecrawl into this page reader in Armiflow. This allows Armiflow to work with the actual content of a page. The app shows in which features this happens.
To connect Firecrawl, create an account with Firecrawl and receive API access. You add these credentials in Armiflow, where they are stored encrypted. The app shows which details Armiflow asks for. Costs and quotas are governed by your contract with Firecrawl.
Armiflow’s website analysis measures and scores a website from 0 to 10 per area, such as technology and security, GDPR, mobile, SEO, GEO and performance. Firecrawl, by contrast, reads content, meaning the texts and offers on a page. One tells you how well a website is built, the other what it says.
Both read web pages and deliver text that an AI can work with. They differ in provider, pricing plans and range of features. If you already have an account with one of them, that is often the easiest start. If in doubt, test both with the same pages and compare which text is more useful.
Not every one. Some pages block automated access, require a sign-in or load content in a way that is hard to read. Firecrawl is designed to process modern pages too, but even with the Firecrawl integration there is no guarantee. Also observe the terms of use of the respective website.
When you connect Firecrawl to Armiflow, the AI can work with real content instead of general assumptions about a company. Personal emails can become more specific as a result, because they refer to what a company actually offers. The app shows how heavily Armiflow uses the page reader in your workflows.
No. The AI writes drafts, and a person decides: every email to a company needs your approval, and the approval is tied to the content. If someone changes the text afterwards, the approval is revoked. Check statements that come from extracted pages, especially figures and names.
That depends on the purpose, the website and the law. Reading publicly accessible content is common, but rules apply to storing and reusing it, such as the GDPR for personal data and the website’s terms of use. Only read what you need and, if in doubt, clarify individual cases legally.
With the Firecrawl integration, costs depend on your plan with Firecrawl; Armiflow does not set them. Usage usually depends on how many pages are read. Check your quota with Firecrawl. In Armiflow, the limits of your plan apply. The limits can change; current details are on the pricing page.
Yes. You set up the Firecrawl integration by adding the credentials in Armiflow, and Armiflow handles the work with the API. You need neither your own code nor technical settings each time you use it. What matters is that someone looks after the account and quota at Firecrawl.
Start the Firecrawl integration with a few companies whose websites you know. Check whether the extracted content is correct and whether drafts become more specific as a result. Only then expand its use. This shows you what benefit the page reader brings for your industry and how much quota you need.
A person with an overview of technical access and costs, such as whoever also manages AI keys and data sources. They keep an eye on quota and plan. With roles and custom roles, you define in Armiflow who may set up or change connections, while everyone else only uses the results.
Check Firecrawl’s plan, quota and terms of use as well as its data protection information. Clarify what you want to use extracted content for and how long you need it. If you already use Jina Reader, consider whether a second page reader is necessary before you set up the Firecrawl integration.
Often too many pages are read that nobody needs, and the quota is quickly used up. Another mistake is treating extracted texts as verified, even though they may be outdated. And sometimes nobody has clarified whether a website allows automated access. Define purpose and scope beforehand.
Not necessarily. Firecrawl reads pages whose address is known, such as a company’s website. If suitable pages first need to be found, a search service such as Brave Search API, Tavily, Serper or SerpApi helps. The app shows which combination makes sense in your account and how the services work together.
Armiflow AI is the chat assistant in the app and uses the system’s features on behalf of the signed-in user. The app shows whether it reads a page via Firecrawl for a question. You can choose the model per task or use your own AI key for OpenAI, Anthropic Claude or Google Gemini.
Only as long as you need it for your purpose. This corresponds to the GDPR principle of storage limitation. If extracted content contains personal data, access and erasure under GDPR Art. 15 and 17 also apply, which Armiflow supports. The app shows how long Armiflow stores extracted content.
Yes, if you want to know before a conversation what a company says about itself on its website. Together with the website report in the company profile, which scores technology, GDPR, SEO and GEO, this gives a good picture. The app shows how you can use the Firecrawl integration for this. You go into the conversation with concrete topics.
