Integration · Web search
With the Brave Search API integration, Armiflow uses the Brave Search engine as a web search service. You get results from its own index, independent of Google, adding to sources such as Serper and SerpApi.

The Brave Search API is the interface to the Brave Search engine, which uses its own index, independent of Google. With the Brave Search API integration, Armiflow connects it as a web search service: it supplies current search results from the internet, for example when information about a company is needed. The app shows exactly which features use the results.
Benefits
Search results are useful for many steps in sales: who is this company, what does it offer, where is it visible? Via the Brave interface, Armiflow can retrieve such results.
A second index is worthwhile because no search engine finds everything equally well. If you already use Google results via Serper or SerpApi, Brave Search adds an independent source to that view. This makes it easier to see whether a company is widely visible online or only appears in one place, and your research does not depend on a single provider.
With every search query, the search terms go to the provider. So pay attention to which data goes into search queries and check Brave’s terms under the GDPR (EUR-Lex). In Armiflow, your company data stays in a separate database schema, credentials are encrypted, and roles control who may set up connections.

The Brave Search API integration gives Armiflow access to a web search with its own index. This lets you retrieve current information from the internet, for example about a particular company. The app shows which features Armiflow uses the search results in; the service sits in the web search & page reader category.
Brave Search works with its own index, whereas Serper and SerpApi supply results from Google Search and Google Maps Places. The results often overlap but are not the same. With the Brave Search API integration, you get a broader view of a company and do not depend on a single search provider.
To connect the Brave Search API, you create access to the Search API with Brave and receive a key. You add this key in Armiflow, where it is stored encrypted. The app shows exactly which details Armiflow needs. The terms and costs of the access are governed by your contract with Brave.
Use of the Brave Search API depends on your contract with Brave; Armiflow does not set these terms. Check there which plans and quotas apply. In Armiflow itself, search runs and AI reports are unlimited in Basic and Pro. Limits may change; current figures are on the pricing page.
In the web search & page reader category, several services sit side by side, including Brave Search API, Tavily Search, Google Programmable Search, Serper and SerpApi. Connecting the Brave Search API with Armiflow does not rule out other services. The app shows which services can be active at the same time in your account.
That depends on the company and its visibility online. Well-maintained websites and listings can be found in most search indexes, while smaller businesses sometimes appear only in some. At the start, spot-check the results for your region and industry before relying on one source.
Armiflow follows the principle that the AI writes from facts and does not invent figures, in the website analysis, for example, from measured values. Search results are nevertheless sources from the internet and may be outdated or inaccurate. That is why in Armiflow nothing goes to customers without your approval.
Public authority protection is switched on by default in Armiflow: government offices, courts and police are neither stored nor contacted. This applies regardless of which source a company comes from. Ready-made lists exist for Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Turkey and the EU, and you can add your own entries.
Armiflow stores credentials and keys encrypted, for the Brave Search API integration as for all other connections. Every customer has a separate database schema, 2FA protects sign-in, and with roles you define who may change connections. Renew the key with Brave if someone with access leaves the company.
Then the Brave Search API returns no further results until your quota is renewed or increased; the exact rules are in your plan. The app shows how Armiflow responds in this case. Keep an eye on your quota and increase it in good time if you use web search regularly.
Start the Brave Search API integration with one responsible person who manages the Brave access and keeps an eye on the quota. Test the results on a few companies you know. After that, the team uses Armiflow as usual. With roles, you decide who may set up or change connections.
Clarify who signs the contract with Brave, what quota you need and who manages the key. Check Brave’s terms of use, including on reusing the results. Write down what you want to use web search for, so that usage and benefit match.
With the Brave Search API integration, avoid a key without clear ownership, because then nobody notices when it expires or the quota runs out. Do not copy search results into customer texts without checking them. And do not rely on a single source if complete results matter to you.
Find companies searches by industry and location in sources such as OpenStreetMap, Google Places, Azure Maps, the Google Maps search via SerpApi or Serper and Apollo.io. Web search is a separate area in Armiflow; the app shows how the two work together. Duplicates are merged automatically and unclear cases go to the review list.
Armiflow AI works in the chat with all of the system’s features on behalf of the signed-in user. Whether and how the assistant uses web search via Brave is shown in the app. Actions involving customers, money, deletion, settings or approvals always wait for your confirmation in the chat.
With a search, the query goes to Brave, meaning the terms being searched for. The app shows exactly which details Armiflow transmits. Check Brave’s privacy terms under the GDPR and make sure that no unnecessary personal data ends up in search queries.
For occasional research, one source is often enough. If you regularly check many companies or work in regions where smaller businesses are hard to find, a second one helps. Start with one service, compare the results and only add another once gaps become apparent.
Yes, if you research companies yourself and want an independent search source. The Brave Search API integration is quick to set up: create access with Brave, add the key in Armiflow, check the results. Basic is designed for 1 user, Pro for teams with unlimited users. Limits may change; current figures are on the pricing page.
